What TaperØff is

TaperØff helps you reduce and stop vaping by turning a declining daily allowance into a plan you follow. You record what you do; the app adjusts around it.

The plan is a schedule, not a prescription. It is generated from the numbers you enter, and it is only as accurate as they are.

Not medical advice

TaperØff is not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It is a habit-change tool built on harm-reduction principles.

Nicotine dependence is a health matter and you may be entitled to free specialist help. In the UK, talk to your GP or a local stop-smoking service. If you are pregnant, have a heart or lung condition, or take medication affected by nicotine, speak to a healthcare professional before changing your intake.

If you are in crisis or need urgent help, contact your local emergency services. TaperØff is not a crisis service and cannot respond to emergencies.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or over to use TaperØff.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. Deletion is immediate and removes your data as described in the privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Don't try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service or to anyone else's account; don't scrape or resell it; and don't use it for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.

Price

TaperØff is currently free to use, and a complete quit journey will always be available free of charge. If we introduce paid features, their price and terms will be shown before you buy anything, and these terms will be updated first.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may end the service — if we do, we will give reasonable notice and a way to retrieve your data.

Liability

We provide TaperØff as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes arising from decisions you make about your own nicotine use.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
