Delete your data

TaperØff, by Corkscrew technologies ltd, has no accounts in this version. Everything you log is on your phone, so you can erase it yourself, completely, in a few taps.

Erase everything on your phone

iPhone

  1. Open TaperØff and go to the You tab.
  2. Scroll to This phone and tap Delete everything on this phone.
  3. Confirm with Delete from this phone.

Android

  1. Open TaperØff and go to the You tab.
  2. Under Privacy, tap Delete everything on this phone.
  3. Confirm with Delete from this phone.

This erases your plan, your log, your cravings, your devices and the Puff Bank from the phone (and from your watch, below), and the app starts again from the beginning. There's no copy anywhere else, so it can't be undone. If you might want your history later, save it first with You → Privacy → Export my data.

Deleting the app erases all of this too. TaperØff keeps your log out of iCloud and Google device backups, so nothing comes back if you restore a backup.

Also worth knowing

  • Your watch: if TaperØff is on your Apple Watch or Wear OS watch, its copy is erased too, the next time your phone and watch connect. Until then the phone won't take anything back from the watch.
  • Apple Health and Health Connect: if you let TaperØff save breathing exercises (or, on iPhone, cravings you got through), those entries belong to Health now. Delete them in the Health app or in Health Connect if you'd like them gone.
  • Plus: a purchase belongs to your App Store or Google Play account and isn't affected. To stop a monthly subscription, cancel it in your app store.

Anything we hold

We don't hold what you log, so there's nothing of that for us to delete. If you've emailed us and want the conversation deleted, write to quit@taperoff.io from the same address and we'll delete it within one month. Crash reports, where a release includes them, carry nothing that identifies you and are deleted automatically within 90 days.
